Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) Change
PSE interventions have great potential to improve a community’s health by addressing socioeconomic factors and by making healthy choices more accessible across different settings to reduce disparities in outcomes associated with nutritional diseases.
Policy - Policies take several forms such as laws, ordinances, regulations, and rules; they can be formal or informal.
Systems - Systemic interventions are changes that impact all areas of an organization, institution, or community.
Environment - Environmental interventions involve changes to the economic, social, or physical environment.
